Introduction:

Garment fitting is based on taking body measurements. So it is rattling of import for a wearing clothing maker to know how to lead maintain accurate measurements. The next points volition live rattling useful, for this purpose.

Objective:

To know measure mensuration of the components of the basic shirt.
To know the sketch the different parts of a basic shirt.

Sketch the dissimilar parts of a basic shirt

Basic areas of measurement:

Measured point	Description
1. Chest / Brest circumference	Closed garments are measured direct across front end of garments at lowest indicate of arm holes on at specified level. Double this mensuration (for plated back, mensurate amongst pleats closed).
2. Across shoulders	Measure direct across dorsum of garments, from ane shoulder/ armhole indicate to the other.
3. Across back	Measure direct dorsum of the garment at midpoint of arm hole seem on border ane side to other.
4. Across front end chest	Measure direct dorsum of the garment at midpoint of ane arm hole seem on border ane side to other.
5. Arm hole circumference	Align front end in addition to dorsum arm hole seems on edges together, mensurate from undrawn intersection indicate upward to shoulder along front end arm hole. Seem on edge, next curve. Double this measurement.
6. Upper arm circumference	From depression indicate of arm hole, mensurate across the sleeve (along across grain/ weft on perpendicular to sleeve plication line. Double this body measurement.
7. Sleeve length (CBN) Centre dorsum neck	Measure from centre dorsum neck. Seem on border direct across to shoulder/ arm hole point, along sleeve’s plication business downward to bottom border of sleeve opening (Cuff included, unless otherwise specified)
8. Sleeve length to shoulder / Neck point	Measure from shoulder/ cervix indicate direct across to shoulder/ armhole indicate along. Sleeve’s plication line, downward to bottom border of sleeve opening. (Cuff included, unless otherwise specified)
9. Sleeve inseam	Measure from nether armhole. Seam downward to bottom border of sleeve opening ( cuff included), amongst vent shut (if applicable)
10. Sleeve opening	With edges even, mensurate direct across bottom border of sleeve opening (elastic/ ribbing needed if applicable). Double this measurement
11. Shirt neckband band	With placket open, mensurate along middle of band from centre of push clitoris to far destination of buttonhole. With placket shut mensurate along the middle of band from ane border to the other, double this measurement.
19. Back length (H.P.S)	Measure from high indicate of shoulder downward to bottom border of garment.
20. Back length (C.B.N)	Measure from centre dorsum neck. Seam on border downward to bottom border of the garment.
