What is loom?
Loom is a really necessary constituent for weaving. Loom is a machine or device which is used for producing woven fabric. Loom are driven past times 2 ways. These are manual organization too automatic system.

Loom has 3 types of motion:
- Primary motion
- Secondary motion
- Tertiary motion
Primary displace has 3 types. They are:
A. Shedding:- The procedure of making shed is called shedding.it is the procedure of separating the warp yarn into 2 layers to shape a tunnel which is called shed, is known equally shedding.
B. Picking:- The method of passing the weft threads traversely through warp yarn is called picking.
C. Beat up:- The procedure inward which yarns are sent to the cruel of the cloth is called compaction up.

Secondary displace is inward 2 types:
- Take upwards motion
- Let off motion
Tertiary displace is non necessary for cloth production. The 3rd motions are:
- Warp goal motion.
- Weft goal motion.
- Reed goal motion.
