Test specimen:

If the textile to live tested is fabric:
Two pieces 14cmX5cm are required for dry out rubbing & ii for moisture rubbing. One specimen of each twain shall stimulate got the long management parallel to the warp yarn & the other parallel to the weft yarns.

Test procedure:

Dry rubbing test:
  • At outset the sample of 14cm was cutting for warp & 5cm for weft direction.
  • The exam sample was locked on to the base of operations of the crock meter together with thence that it lies apartment & tight for testing.
  • Then the length & width management of the exam specimen was kept parallel to the management inwards which the rubbing is to live conducted
  • Then the spiral clip was used to laid upward a 5cmX5cm of the white, cotton wool rubbing exam cloth to the finger of the crock meter. The weave of the exam cloth should live parallel to the management of rubbing.
  • Then the covered finger was lowered on to the exam sample.
  • Then the manus crank was turned & 10 consummate bicycle of the crank was completed
  • Then the white rubbing exam cloth was removed from the finger
  • Then color transfer was evaluated past times using greyness scale for staining nether measure lighting

Wet rubbing test:
  • At outset the sample of 14cm was cutting for warp & 5cm for weft direction.
  • The exam sample was locked on to the base of operations of the crock meter together with thence that it lies apartment & tight for testing.
  • Then the length & width management of the exam specimen was paralleled to the management inwards which the rubbing is to live conducted
  • Then the spiral clip laid upward was used, a 5cmX5cm foursquare of the white, cotton wool rubbing exam cloth to the finger of the crock meter. The weave of the exam cloth should live parallel to the management of rubbing.
  • Then the covered finger was lowered on to the exam sample.
  • The manus crank was turned & 10 consummate bicycle of the crank was made.
  • Then the white rubbing exam cloth was removed from the finger.

Evaluation:
The contrast betwixt white rubbing cloth was compared amongst the staining greyness scale & rated from 1-5 & changing inwards the tested specimen amongst changing greyness scale.

Test report:
1. For dry out rubbing test:
  • One rating (1-5) for warp direction
  • Another (1-5) for weft management
2. Wet rubbing test
  • One rating (1-5) for warp direction
