Hello, dearest friends. I bring merely returned habitation to Austin subsequently a rattling long trip. My summertime has been filled amongst an abundance of pleasant, unhurried days amongst my sweetness family, but isn't it truthful - there's no position similar home? Oh, how lovely it is to slumber inwards my ain bed again, to portion actually proficient barbecue amongst friends, to swim at Barton Springs pool.
Interestingly, when I sorted through my images, I realized that all my favorite shots focused on typography. And this prompts me to wonder: is in that location a typography of place?
If Austin has an identifying typography, I would bring to tell it is mitt lettered, possibly washed out past times the Texas sun, or starting to deteriorate a little.
We bring around of the nearly amazing neon signs here. Neon creative someone Todd Sanders makes vintage inspired signs inwards his shop Roadhouse Relics on South 1st. Todd has a fantastic gallery here, too.
Most of the places I've included inwards this ship service bring been inwards Austin for many years. They are the places I recollect from my route trips downward to Austin inwards high school, the places I frequented inwards college. Probably this is because I've been homesick all summer. This final photograph is from a relative newcomer to the Austin scene, Frank. They bring done a peculiarly proficient undertaking integrating modern amongst vintage. Plus, they bring the best hot dogs ever. Austin is growing together with changing together with thus chop-chop - I'm curious to encounter how the overall experience of the position changes, how the storefronts together with typography volition reverberate that change.
