Assistant Designer:
A junior designer is generally there to assist designer and is responsible for following the designer’s ideas and his job may involve creating a paper pattern or even sewing the sample garment itself. He also assists in carrying out a thorough market research in trends, selecting fabrics, trimming, visiting retail stores, etc. To serve this position a specialized training in drawing, sketching, cutting, tailoring, sewing etc. is a must. He should also have an aesthetic sense of colour schemes and design.

Illustrator:
Nowadays an outstanding artist who can draw free hand sketches of designer’s ideas is a must sough-after person by big houses and organization. In a way, is a person who is not only creative having outstanding sketches skills, but also a person with a high fashion sense. Illustrators are, at times, required to discuss with customers especially when new3 collections have to be introduced and this post no doubt requires excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with prospective clients.

Fashion coordinator:
A fashion coordinator’s job on the one hand is the most common in the industry but, on the other hand, it is a most competitive and glamorous job requiring a high level of creativity and excellent communicating skills.

Printing designer/Artist:

Colourist:
A trained colourist plays a vital role in the textile-printer, artist team. He keeps a record of colour sample and fabric pieces. They are the ones who are involved inn block printing or machine printing.

Fashion journalism has a bright scope of employment. However, it is progressing rapidly as per the liking of present-day youth in respect of glamour, luxury and excitement. Fashion modelling:
Modelling at best is divided into two types live modelling and photographic modelling. Merchandising Assistant is basically a marketing man. To develop a line for the coming season to his basic job. He is responsible for studding past and current sales data and analysing trends.

Production executive: He keeps records of production, inventory, piece-goods and shipments. He keeps track of deliveries and orders. His job involves keeping contacts with clients and these calls for perfect PR skills.
