CHAPTER- three
Methodology

The methodology of this projection operate was experimental. To perform a successful experiment, the next materials, musical instrument in addition to methods were used inwards our projection work.

3.1 Raw Materials:

1. Denim Apparels (leg panels): Leg panels are made of 100% cotton wool woven denim of Z twill (2/1), Construction: (75 X 45) / (10 X 9). Warp yarn is Indigo dyed in addition to Weft yarn is White.
2. Desizing agent
3. Antistaining Agent
4. Bleaching pulverisation
5. Soda Ash
6. Softener
7. Sodium hyposulphite

3.2 Working Places:

1. Testing laboratory inwards People's Republic of Bangladesh University of Business in addition to Technology (BUBT).
2. Apparel Manufacturing laboratory inwards People's Republic of Bangladesh University of Business in addition to Technology (BUBT).
3. Testing laboratory inwards People's Republic of Bangladesh University of Textiles (BUTEX).
4. Jamuna Washing Plant LTD, Plot-24,Block-k, section-2, Rupnagor I/A, Mirpur, Dhaka-1216.

3.3 Types of machineries used for washing:

1. Sample washing machine
2. Hydro-extracting machine
3. Dryer

3.3.1Sample washing machine:
Specification:

• Machine Name: Sample Washing machine
• Brand: Dongel
• Origin: Korea
• Capacity: 125 lb
• RPM: 600-2800
• Temperature: 40-100°c

3.3.2 Hydro-extracting machine
Specification of hydro-extracting machine:

• Machine Name: Hydro-extracting machine

• Origin: Korea
• Capacity: 125 kg Garments
• RPM: 2800(usually) – 4000
• Temperature: Room temperature
• Time: five infinitesimal

3.3.3 Dryer

• Brand: Dongel
• Origin: Korea
• Capacity: 250-350 kg
• RPM: 250
• Temperature: 40- 100°c

3.4 Types of musical instrument used for testing:

3.5 Washing Condition:

3.6 The procedure of Bleach Washing:

Desizing Treatment:

1. Batch: 1 kg
2. M:L : 1:25
3. Desizing agent: 1 g/l
4. Antistaining agent: four g/l
5. Time : 25 infinitesimal
6. Temperature: 60°c
7. pH: 10.5
8. Drop the liquor
9. Hot launder is done at lxx °C for five mins, hence 2 times rinsing is done.

Bleaching treatment:

1. Add bleaching powder: five g/l
2. Add soda wash: four g/l
3. Temperature: 50°c 5. Drop the liquor & Rinsing 2 times.
4. Time: 10- xxx minutes

• After 10 minutes 2 samples are unloaded
• After fifteen minutes three samples are unloaded
• After xxx minutes three samples are unloaded

Neutral wash:

1. Add Sodium hyposulphite: four g/l
2. Temperature: 40°c
3. Time : five min
4. Drop the liquor & Rinsing 2 times.

Softening process:

1. Add silicon softener :3 g/l
2. Temperature: 40°c
3. Time : 10 minute
