Recently interior photographer, Janis Nicolay together with I had java together with started talking virtually how much nosotros both loved carnations. Always getting a bad rap, nosotros visit we'd present these spicy smell flowers around dearest together with larn together for an afternoon of crafting.
Janis had the visit of creating a hanging pom pom ball, something fun for a boundary political party perhaps? I was thinking it would locomote perfect for a bridal shower —to hang higher upward a dessert bar or brand a few for over a table. What's prissy too, carnations are pretty hardy, together with something similar this would in conclusion a few days if you lot kept them cool. We intend it turned out pretty cute! You Will Need:
ii - 3 dozen carnations (we used a few unlike hues to exercise an ombre effect)
6" moss florist ball (we establish a to a greater extent than eco-friendly type versus using the styrofoam version)
florist wire
wire cutter
skewers
ribbon or chord (for hanging)
How-To:
Using a skewer, poke your showtime hole starting at the superlative of the ball. If making an ombre effect, start alongside your showtime colouring of carnations. Trim off ane of the carnations at the bottom of the stem. Push the carnation into the hole you lot created. Continue for iii rows of your showtime colour. Then larn to your side past times side colour, placing together with fluffing out carnations every bit you lot larn for around other 3 rows. And thus finally your 3rd colouring to complete off.
