Svärtan | Novel Express Edition From Ikea

IKEA volition live introducing their latest express edition series, SVÄRTAN this September which is a novel collection consisting of textiles, newspaper items, glassware, ceramics together with metallic objects designed past times Swedish fashion together with textile designer, Martin Bergström. When I visited IKEA finally yr for the Democratic Design Days inwards the leap of 2015, this was i of the collections I was most excited about.

The inspiration for it was drawn from inner-city environments of Republic of Republic of India together with is amount of subtle textures together with abstract patterns taken from objects that are commonly overlooked, encouraging us to run across beauty inwards the seemingly mundane.

Martin Bergström, a Swedish fashion together with textile designer has been working inwards the fields of fashion, fine art together with blueprint for over a decade. Known for his bold together with avant-garde designs, he uses everything from ink stains to forgotten handicraft techniques to convey his ideas to life.

To practise an icon of what contemporary Republic of Republic of India looks like, 25 students from NIFT (National Institute of Fashion Technology) inwards New Delhi were invited to a workshop amongst Martin Bergström. The students used inspiration coming from unexpected places; patterns inwards surfaces together with distressed walls, from dangling cables hanging over the streets, together with hence made imprints or drawings of them. The destination was to blast a residue betwixt the organic together with the abstract, to uncovering verse inwards things that some people may overlook.

"With their angular, slightly unpredictable look, these mouth-blown glassware pieces are a skillful example of Bergstrom's imperfect designs.
